Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I have been riding this scoot for the past few months and generally, it runs great! After some trials and tribulations (registering...repairs, etc.) When I use the brakes first thing after starting, there is a sizeable squeak! which seems to subside after a while. I keep the scoot charged with a battery charger maintainer. The Honda dealer in my area was cool enough to make it work for me although reluctant at first because of its age! Before I go to them for any further repairs, do you think that my brakes are going out? and if so, is it a big deal to have them fixed?

I appreciate any help or feedback I can get! I am in Santa Monica, CA.
