85 spree only goes 25mph

my 1985 honda spree will only go 25mph it had old gass and oil so i changed the gas and put in new and took the oil out and puit in 2 cycle mercury oil. How can i make it go faster
o it only has 500 or so miles on it

My 85 Spree only does about 33 mph with a tail wind. I weigh over two hundred pounds. I think thats about all you can expect.

Sounds about right. You did, of course, purge out the oil system and you are, of course, using 2T injector oil, not premix.
Clean the head and exhaust port of carbon, per the manual. The exhaust can be cleaned out with a torch, if you have one. At 500 miles, there shouldn't be much of this, though.

thanks the other day i was messing with the carb and it goes abouy 30 now
i think it was just the old gas that was in it

just wondering, how do you clean the exhasut with the a torch becasue i would like to do that to mine.
