won't start after rebuild

I think I have a bit of a problem on my spree. I had poor compression so I replaced the rings with a new set from honda and put it all back together. When I tried to start the spree, an 85 model, it cranked several times and then fired up for a moment. I started to adjust the carb to dial it in a bit and it died. Now it won't start for anything. It cranks over but just won't fire. Compression is good and I'm getting spark to my knowledge. Is there anything I might have overlooked? When I did a compression test, I came up with over 90 easy when I put a bit of oil in the chamber. Any suggestions? I'm getting a bit frustrated and am tired of having this thing sit in my living room for over two months. BTW I'm running premix till I make sure everything is good to go.

Did you hone it out first? How did the bore look? Try holding your hand over the air inlet while cranking.
