hi im new to this site, i have a 85 spree and i get no spark, i replaced the coil the cdi and i by passed the ignition, what else is there that im missing, please help

Not sure what you did when you bypassed the ignition.

Verify the Black wire/white stripe to the CDI is *open* when ignition is ON and the engine kill switch in the run (ON) position.

Run the resistance checks on the stator.

From the service manual here's the wires and resistance values:
Exciter coil - Black wire/red strip to ground 750 to 1200 ohms.
Pulse generator - Blue wire/yellow stripe to ground 50 to 200 ohms.

all i did was hotwire the scooter to see if it was the ignition switch or not, im trying to narrow it down to stator or alternator which i realy dont want to pull but i will if i have to. just looking for anything else that may cause it not to get spark.
