basically. i was taking some more parts off my 92 today, after i took off the all the fender, i noticed i like the way it looked, but there wasn't enough body still on there to tell. So i took the 92 fender, cut it up. Tore apart my 96, placed in the cut up one. i then took a small piece of card board, cut it up as a mock license plate holder, with a Michigan moped plate drawn on.

On honda hand i like it, i like it allot, on the other hand, im not sure.
What do you think?

is it street legal? im pretty sure in WI you need a rear fender so you dont kick rocks up at cars behind you

just a thought, and yes i like it

Looks a lot cleaner that way.

You should paint the stock taillights yellow as well to blend them, then install recessed tail lights into the plastic. It would look more like a modern street bike then.

I like the look, you need a new rear tire to match!

I really like the look of the stock fender. It makes the bike look more aggressive with the lip on the end and the contrast of yellow and black.

Your Japan tail look killer as well!

yeah, i asked on another forum and not one person likes it.

i personally dont know if i like it or not. but the stock mud flap does give that one last aggressive detail. and the rear fender is there for a reason. i dont know, i think im going to put it back on.

I say put it back on. i like the idea for the license holder, but without the fender it looks naked.

maybe fabricate something to fill in the empty space. then it would be sweet!
or possibly put the license holder to the side still and have the fender on too. like some of the motorcycles out there, i really like that design

i like it, looks good. even meaner with an oversize tire

BUT you lose functionality.. the stock fender is just superb from keeping debris from being kicked up and getting on your panels and back

ride it and if thats no concern, keep it

similar look w/ oversize tire:

Greetings:

Fenders, Schmenders. It looks great naked. All except the well-worn tire. Pirelli SL26 in the 90/90 size were $26 shipped at MotorcycleSuperstore.com recently.

I vote for neato. Yet the functionality needs to be there, I was following my friend down a dirt road with my Aero before it got stolen (it was missing rear fender) and it kicked up stones all over my van.

Gotta remember that. I hate tailgaters and that would be one way of making them back off.

Personally, I like the revision. The fender reminds me of the ducktail hairstyle that was popular many many years ago.
