So my 84 spree quit running on me, It starts up no problem if i shoot some carb cleaner straight through the air cleaner or put in in the plug etc.....
so that means its getting compression and spark but no fuel correct???

I've cleaned the carb several times as good as i can,(unfortunatly i do not have an air compressor) ,,,,
the Pet * is not clogged
I tested to see if the lines were clogged by removing the main and vaccum lines and sucking on the vacuum line,,,,and yes gas flows threw the main when i do this

also to note,,, gas is getting to the bowl of the carb

I know you guys can help me out!! please and thank you for your time!!

You have pretty much proved that the engine is not getting fuel. Are you sure the fuel and vacuum lines got reconnected properly and not switched?

Did you pop out the brass cartridge under the main jet and clean it? Push it out with a pencil.

Hey Kenny,

Could you elaborate on this? What's the function of the cartridge? Is the unit perforated like a filter?

I wonder if I'd missed this detail when I cleaned the carb.

I read the carb clean doc but saw no mention of the E tube. Is there another doc?

Thanks.

High pressure compressed air for carb cleaning is a no-no. Nothing more than about 35 PSI. That's why a carb cleaner spray can, brake clean or WD-40 is better than compressed air. If you insist on blowing it out after words, they make cans of just compressed air for than.
