Terrible rattling noise from chassis?

Hey all!, im new here, as you can tell. Awesome place!

I have an 87 honda elite se50p. Runs alright, but I noticed here the past few days that when I sit on it, when its running, it will make a rattling noise. but when I stand up it goes away. I tried checking/tightening all the bolts I could find, but still rattles. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Sorry if its in the wrong place

YEP! your right! saw it today, it was rattling really bad, and when I put it on the stand, no more rattle. so whenever the stand is up off the ground, it vibrates and rattles, not sure how to fix it, all the bolts are tight, but its definetly the center stand.

I tied a red shop rag around where the stand hits the frame. Ghetto, but it's quiet now :D

maybe you could dip it in that plastic coating stuff to get ride of the rattle... dunno, but you could also make it a sweet plastic color coated center stand.

That would look sick!

I got the rattle down to where its barely noticable, the pin that holds the stand onto the frame had a lot of slop in it. I turned that pin around and put a new carter pin on it, and it seems to be tighter now. :)
