so i just bought the stock air filter from my local motorsports place. when i bought the spree the kid had put one of those aftermarket ones on in place of the stock filter/hose setup. i bought the hose/filter/clamp kit, but once it comes in, im gonna have no idea how to install it. can someone tell me how to do this? or link me somewhere? im new to all this, and i've downloaded the manual pdf, but if i dont know what any of this lingo is or parts names, the manual is of no use. thank you for your time.

Pics?

The one end of the hose goes into the air box it has 2 lips on has o be pushed through to the other side, then the other end c;lamps to the carb.
Take the airbox lid off, soak the filter in motor oil, squeez off the excess and put it together.

what type of motor oil do you recommend? also, wen i bought the parts, the invoice paper says: "fr. fork boot" and that cost me 9.99, is this part of the air filter assembly?

Pics??? Sounds strange. Anything will do from 2 stroke oil to gear oil.

Front fork boot? Seriously? That's a new Honda fork boot? That's not even on the right end of the scooter, dude.

I want you to email Greg at uspmale@yahoo.com and explain what you're missing. He'll sell you the parts you need used.

They probably have another customer cussing them for forgetting to get his front fork boot.

lol ur not gonna believe this. so i call the place, and the way they have stuff recorded on invoices is weird. "ho acc. band fr. fork boot" is the clamp used for the air filter hose. i guess the clamp for the fork boot assembly or whatever is used in told in the air filter system. sounds true, right? what do you think?

I think it's a lot to pay for a band clamp. Hopefully it's the only part you need.

Clean out the airbox, clean out the 2 ports in the lid, check that the lid gasket is there.

1. grease the funky lipped flared end of the tube up real good
2. insert the flared end into the box, it will stop on the first lip
3. use a small screwdriver to push the lip though to the inside of the box
4. wiggle and twist the tube to be sure its seated good
5. oil filter, saturate wih whatever motor oil you have around and squeeze well, then sqeeze in a rag
6. install filter in box, it only fits one way
7. replace lid, make sure its all snapped down and put the screw back in.
8. put clamp on other end of hose put hose over carb inlet and tighten clamp
9 your done!
