I ride little rusty year around to get to school and back; and it get really cold sometimes. So, was thinking to myself the other day. "self," i said, "why don't you get heated grips?" did i little research and found that grips cost over 100 dollars. screw that!

So i continued to think to myself. "Self, aren't you studying mechanical engineering, did you just have a test in physics on how resistance, voltage and current works? why do you make you own grips?"

do i did.

these puppies, freaken rock!!!!!!!!!!

i'll be running endurance tests all week. as long as nothing goes wrong in the next week or two, i'll make a tech doc for ya'll about it.

specs:
15W each
1.15 A

Cost:
$10 and about 5 hours spent as far

Seems like the twist throttle would be challenging.

Cool man... i was actually looking for something like those .... that's pretty much what i ended up making - a much more primitive version though.

thanks for the link: i might buy those for my scarabeo 500... or just make em... whats the durability for those resistors? have for mad any problems with them?

I'm really curious how you made them (wire gauge, number of winds/overall length.) Do tell.

you could go to about any pet store and get like lizard heaters. cut the 110v wall outlet off and you have the same thing as what the guy that suggested $27 for about 10 in total
