Hi All
I pulled the belt cover and the loud rattles seem to be coming from beneath the clutch cover. I can tell when I spin it by hand or step on the kick start. The belt seems fine.I took it for a ride and it drives fine its just loud. If you listen closely and distinguish between the engine and the clutch the engine sounds completely normal. Someone mentioned weights. What's next? zeolig

pull the clutch off and inspect it. may be a broken clutch spring?

If there's rust in there it could also be that the bearings (1 ball set and 1 roller set) in the pulley are shot.
