I think somebody is just trying to BS you. I believe that by making tuned pipes you can make the motor rev to 11k, so IMO there is no limit on the rev limit. This is sort of funny to me though because I have a honda 450r 4-wheeler. There is a green wire on the CDI that you can cut and it WILL add another 1k to the limit, and also give a more aggresive timing. Honda sells an aftermarket CDI that already has the wire removed. Maybe thats what the info is based on.

Quads are often rev limited, expecially the 4 strokes. The Spree has no rev limiter. The best part about this red wire deal is that on the Spree (all years) there is no RED wire. Image

The only dumb * is you, moron. All I did was open my Spree manual (do you have one?) and looked at all the wiring diagrams for all years and guess what, moron, NO red wire. But hey you are a self proclaimed expert, which is just a drip under pressure, who can't spell and has no clue about the English langauge. Why don't you just down load the manual from the tech section and shut up for awhile. Oh and why believe someone who doesn't even own a scooter rather that someone who does. NITWIT!Image

Bear, i would rather deal with someone like him who wants to learn. Then have to deal with someone like you that things they already know everything.

The guys is new to sprees, he is trying to learn and you go off on him calling him names and s***. You really need to chill out or leave the site. At least he is trying to do some self tuning.
