Chevy had difficulty selling its popular Nova models in the Spanish-speaking world. Then they discovered that No Va translates into "Doesn't go". In Scooterland we have another Marketing Mistake:

We have a hard enough time convincing non-believers we're not (necessarily) * as it is, without buying a bike branded "Wussi".

They did it for the lolz.

Give a scooter a girlie name, and it cuts the market in half.

I like the chrome, spokes and chopper styling, but couldn't get over the name. On the other hand, this was not a US import model, and I'm having remorse over not buying it - it was only a few miles away. Anyone had one of these?

Yamaha PopGal - 2 speed auto trans, 50cc, Towny equivalent. I think this was around 40mph, but IMHO this one looks much better than a Towny...
