its in the head pipe inside the header flange. pull off the exhaust and either find a step bit or a dremel and drill out the washer so it is the same dia. as the pipe.

I don't think you do, stock jet should be able to do unrestricted.

No, don't rejet. It should be a #65 for stock intake and exhaust (Iowa or not.)

Not that we're aware of. This is a regulation item on Spree "Iowa" editions.

didnt drill out the restrictor but cleaned the carb and went from 15 mph to 25 mph, which is a great improvment in my eyes. I have only put about $100 - $110 into it since I got it from my uncle who was gonna throw it away. It rocks!!!! I'm thinking about painting it any suggestions on the color it is Red right now its the original color.

I have an Iowa spree that tops out in the low 20s with me on it (175lbs) and around 26 with my wife. I took the muffler off while ago to see the restrictor but I'm not sure I know what you guys are talking about. There is a washer type piece that allows the muffler pipe to form a seal with the flange piece from the engine and that comes out, but that wouldn't restrict flow since it fits around the muffler pipe. Other than that I don't see anything that looks like a washer. Then inside the flange it just kind of funnels down to a small (maybe 1/4' opening). Is this funneling type piece the restrictor? How do you drill that out since the frame is in the way? Anyone got a picture?
