Is the by-starter adjustable?

1985 HQ50 spree bystarter, I looked at the assembly photos posted by a member which were a great help in finding out the order of the parts and how to check if it is functioning. My question is, when screwing the unit together do you screw it all the way in tight or do the threads act as an adjustmet for the depth of the needle? If so, what is the adjustment proceedure?

Thanks, Swede

As far as I know the by-starter is not adjustable....

Greetings:

That's an interesting thought, but I agree with Brad the Third. The brass plunger/needle is springloaded, so it self-adjusts to some degree.

Silly boys! Of course it's adjustable. Here's how:

1. Remove old ByPharter.

2. Replace with new one from Greg.

See? Easy peasy.
