I have a summer project! 
Just bought a 97 Honda Elite 80 for $50. Don't know if it runs, yet but looks like its all there. Someone painted it ALL gold! Was told it was owner by someone in a Vespa Club and they were going to give it away as some sort of lifesize trophy for something. First I need to know the best ways to remove the gold paint from the:
Black plastic, hopefully preserving the lables underneath.
The clear plastic instrument lens WO crazing it.
The colored plastic turn signal lenses.
I was wondering if oven cleaner works. I have heard plastic modelers use it to rework a model.
