Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Just picked up a 86 spree. runs fine except when taking off or at a rolling stop. It drags at first take off then if you don't come to a complete stop it will bog for the first 100 feet then kick in. Any ideas of the problem beside cleaning the carb? Could it be the air filter? have new filter on order. Getting new plugs tomorrow. Have two 86 sprees and rebuilding them both. Looking at a third tomorrow so get use to seeing me ask alot of questions. Thanks for any advise giving

Without a filter it might do that, I would clean the carb just for the * of it. Spark plugs are known to do some WEIRD stuff when they start to go. if the above doesn't solve it then i would look a the clutch and check the belt for excessive wear.
