Haven't been on here in awhile. How ya all been??
Anyways I loaned my spree to a teenager and he totaled it. So now I'm looking for another scoot and a guy in my town has a 2000 elite sr with 600 miles on it, basically cherry.
He wants 1000 firm?
What do you think?

Greetings:
NADA Book Value is $670. Kelly Blue Book says $1045.00 retail. They're always high, but in this case it may be closer to the truth. 600 miles is not a lot of road in 9 years.
You may still have some fuel system residue issues, and I'd consider new tires regardless of their mileage and tread depth. You do have to add the cost of the inevitable mods, starting 1G in the hole.
Good part is nobody will say...
Dude! Swap in a Dio!!

Well I am actually going with another scoot that is in the area-- a 2007 yamaha c3 with 1400 miles-- guy told me he would take 1300. I always wanted one of those and the fuel injection is what sold me on the thing.
Thx for the advice and happy scooting.

The c3 is ugly as mud, but there's still something appealing about it. I hope to upgrade someday and go to something like that, 4 stroke, fuel inject. I believe it's liquid cooled too, isn't it?

Yeah, a pretty advanced little scooter. Just use regular gas, starts in the cold, storage under seat, etc.
It is not as pretty as a honda scoot, i will grant ya.

I think the C3 is a cool scoot, it takes us back to our roots with the look of an old Cushman, Doodlebug etc.. looks.
I love those old scoots and the simple design of them. The C3 reflects that look to me.

I didn't giggle, but I did chuckle the first time I saw one. But like ALOW1, I thought back to the Husky's from my youth. We were too poor for me to own one, but I had friends who had them and rode them quite a bit. No driver's license required back then. They were a hoot to drive.
