Anyone know about the R1 muffler? Need to know if it's holding my Malossi 72cc back. I plan on getting a pg long but wanted to see if anyone knew about R1 mufflers. I'll try to take a video tomorrow if rain let's up.

I was told that the R1's were good for bores smaller then a 72cc from someone over in Hawaii.

I wanted to buy that pipe when it came up for sale as I was planning on running a 65cc bore and was told that if I bought the R1 and wanted to upgrade to a 72cc the pipe wouldn't work very well with the larger bore.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to call VT and see if they have any more pg longs.

Can't do video till the rain stops :D. My wifes 00 elite stock w/ oko variator keeps neck to neck with me till we hit 40. 40 is her top speed that's when i pass her. I get the same acceleration and top speed at both 1/4 throttle and WOT. That's why i'm thinking i might have the smaller R1 for 50 to 72cc and not the Bigger R1 for 72 to 82cc. Choke!

6's and 7's. I even went way down to 3's and 4's and then it didn't want to shift! My local performance scooter guy said when it hits midrange it wants to open up but wont, it feels like you're sticking a finger in the end of muffler. It's getting old quick, i wish i had another muffler to try without spending big $. I should be able to get vid today.

Greetings:

Have you swapped scooters with your wife to see if it's a rider weight thing? She might just blow your belt cover off riding your scooter with you on hers...

That is actually a pretty decent deal there.. pricey but a true 70cc chamber pipe should work wonders

as far as trans: 6.5g is still on heavy side and 3.5g is WAY too light for dio style (perfect for jog)

try 7and3's to net 5g, maybe 6and3's for 4.5g too since your rear center spring is 1.5k

that should help man
