SE50 Spree project...

OK, First of all I would like to thank everyone that have been extremely helpful with giving me advice and help sourcing parts for my SE50 motor. I am very grateful
The purpose of this thread is for advice on installation and break in procedures you recommend for the parts I have, and maybe ideas on what other parts I need to get. I'm still kinda a Noob when it comes to these things so bear with me. I feel comfortable with installing the parts because I've taken enough motors apart in the past. I would love to just throw on the parts and ride but I know that isn't the smart thing to do. I need to make sure I do it right the first time.
As of now, here is a list of parts I should be receiving by the end of the week and parts I already have in my possesion.
Polini Contessa BBK
Daytona Max PSI exhaust
AF28 Carb and intake manifold with 3 reed setup
Oko variator with an assortment of weights ranging from 6g-11g
New Bando Belt
K&N Pod style filter
"racing CDI" (I know it just looks cool
)
Here is some info Wheelman gave me for installing the Polini...
What weights should I start with on the Oko variator?
My stock carb has a main jet of 82 but the AF28 carb has a main jet (75)and slow jet(?). Should I up the main to 82 since my stock carb was running that? Or does the larger AF28 carb compensate for more fuel right off the bat? Should I be upjetting the slow jet as well? Where is a good place to source these jets besides the dealer?
How should I break in the Polini?
Should I continue running the BR6 plug or should I change it to BR4 or BR8?
Here are a couple of other factors that probably need to go into consideration:
I would like to acheive around 50mph
I weigh 270lbs
I live in the desert which is fairly dry most of the time.
Temperature is usually between 70-95 degrees
Thanks in advance,
Brad

As for all the other installations it seems pretty straight forward. What will give me trouble is the tuning.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:
Loctite is not recommended and will mess up your torque values unpredictably. Just be careful with the wrist pin clips. Make absolutely sure they're locked into their grooves all the way around. Legs point straight down. Honda and Polini recommend torques that seemed absurdly low. Maybe for brand-new parts but I applied their 9 pounds and it leaked. I raised it to 15-16 in stages. Don't overdo it, they can break.Bradthreee wrote:Do you have any tips for me when I assemble the Polini BBK onto my block besides the right torque settings on the bolts. Should I use any loc tite during reassembly?
I ran the stock carb with the main jet that came with the Polini initially. It was fine until I monkeyed with the intake and pipe, then ended up with a 96.5 to stay cool enough. Ran great, but I can't leave well enough alone. The Arreche carb is currently fitted with a 100 main and once again the plug color is very reassuring. Can't help you much with the Super Dio carb. I would recommend you find a CHT and keep an eye on it for temps exceeding 400. The TinyTach has come in handy too.
