FUEL FILTER PROBLEMS

Post by cccphonda »

The other day my scooter started bogging at higher speed next day it was bogging and dieing and later that day it didn't run at all, I thought it was a clogged carb but before I started tearing it apart I noticed there was no fuel in the filter checked the "petcock" it was working fine finally noticed the filter was melted shut changed it and it now it runs better than the day i bought it! (never use a clear filter)

odd... are you sure the old filter was designed for gas? seems like a stupid question, but my cheap clear filter housing seems fine, after two years of use i would have to guess it's made of better plastic than yours.

props to the exsessive diagram, mad "paint" skillz :)
