got some questions for you ? Now I have took my SA50p Elite for a ride today .I drove it for 15 miles .It does take of normal .30mph on flat and 35mph down hills . On my way back There is that rattling sound that I am starting to hear . I is not loud but can hear it . Then I parked it on the side of the road. The rattling sound did stop but I am Still able to hear a click sound every 2second inside the engine . Any ideas what is going on. Any one that had experience the same problem feel free to tell me what should I do. :peace:

Now I have took the engine apart again because of that vibrating and rattling sound that I am starting to hear. I have know Idea where it is coming from. I don't know if I have to change my belt or what . It is starting to drive so rough after that 15 miles I put on it . When I hit 15mph it feels like when You are rubbing 2rocks against each other. Also it is so loud .It is like driving a sport bike. I check the engine and it look nice and clean to me. So some suggestions will be very helpful. Thanks

Some advice here will be really helpful. After putting 15miles on my elite. It is starting to smoke so bad . Now it sound like an harley. I can feel the engine vibration sitting on .It will run smooth at 5mph. Once I hit 10mph the vibration is so bad that I cant even ride it.Now it does start fine either kick start or electric start. I did a compression test and I get 65psi.So do I need to change my rings and my gasket?

65 PSI and it starts and runs? My 60 PSI Aero 50 doesn't ever pop, not even once.

You need to pull the jug (cylinder) off and see how bad things are.

Rarely will a 65 PSI engine just need rings and gaskets. Usually an overbore, piston & rings or a BBK.

yes it does start and run at 65psi . Once I hit 10mph it smoke so bad and You can hear the engine start making some terrible noise.Like metal rubbing against each other. Now I was on cheapcycleparts.com looking for the parts . I found the gasket ,the rings that I am needed . Now what do I need to buy to seal the new gasket on the cylinder in place ounce I took it out.

What is a BBK?

If you lean the bike one way does the 'vibration' stop? Maybe a crank bearing. My elite started doing that so I pulled it off the road. I took it apart and the left bearing was toast - so much so the teeth on the starter wheel had started touching the inside of the case, making a nasty metal to metal sound  . BBK is an acronym for Big Bore Kit, this will contain all the parts to increase your stock engine cc's. Site search engine is your friend :hi:

Ok guys I took my cylinder of just now. I really don't know why it will be smoking so bad. Because inside the engine looks so clean like brand new. My pipe got know holes.

Why it will run rough ?
Also will a 1989 SB50P piston rings fit in a 1998 Sa50P Honda elite?

I'm buying a 1988 Elite SA50-LX next week. Apparently the crank bearings may be bad in it.

I'll keep you informed about what I learn/find. Maybe we can help each other out! Yay!
