Does the tach go to 6600 whenever you open the throttle wide? Or is that a max RPM at top speed? max rpm at top speed never gose above 6660
Either the engine is lacking power altogether, or something else is preventing it from getting to its optimal RPM.
Intake restricted somehow - a gummed-up air filter - or carbon-caked exhausti?it a new cvclye top end with less them 200 miles on it and a 95 jet
A very weak Contra spring in the driven pulley can do that too, along with too-heavy rollers.it has a 1500 spring i think the rollers are 8s or 7s
Even a stock Spree should want to rev higher than 6600. Something's not right.

the stock motor revs well past 6600 rpms. keep in mind a stock 87 elite 50 with just a keli variator with 10to1 gears,90/90-10 tire , .30 milled head ,stock carb/airbox/reed cage 90 main, and unrestricted exhaust will top ot at 50-55mph. 55 on a slight hill or wind to your back. that equals in the mid 9k range rpm wise. if its not reving past 6600, either your tach is wrong or your not running engine parts that are not stock.

also a ruckus variator will not be effective if your not using a 18mm wide belt.

Greetings:

Measure total variator load. If it revved to 8500 with the 6es and 6600 with "7s or 8s" then something in between might be "just right". A 6 or 12-gram jump in total load likely will overshoot the ideal. An old spring, particularly if made in a certain Asian country, will weaken from a +1500 to a Minus 1000 over time. Try a new spring before you test the perfect roller setup.

Top speed may be 38 because it's revving too low or too high. Then again, maybe that's all the power the engine has.

what 64cc kit are you using? if you got a big bore you should for sure be going faster than 40mph. something else or a bunch of stuff is not working right.

I ordered my OEM AF05E crank bearings, gasket kit and seals from Partzilla.com. You can do a price search for many part # at the same time and their service is great. Prices also!

Partzilla averages 25% below list price. My local dealer sells 10% over list. I order all my Honda parts from them. If you put the crank in your freezer for a couple of hours you can get the bearings off the crank with a couple of large screw drivers 180 degrees apart. Good luck.

by the photo the 8 grams ( black line ) rollers looks to be the best the other ( white line ) is the 6 gram rollers... the 6 give me more rpm like 7300 but top speed it the same 35 and then creep you to 40...
if my compression is (140 ) to high will it lower my rpms????...
Image

ps
just did a math thing the hose hold about 2 cc so my compression will be higher then the the 140 then the test shows..
