yea i have one, I was actually thinking about doing that. I think its the same pipe that evilone used with this bore. I think it has a leak around the first screw for the small header guard though since under the guard was covered in fresh oil when I took it off cause I noticed a drip

I noticed that you used that same pipe on your other setup and got about the same speed so just trying to eliminate the pipe as the problem. but you do have a jetting issue that you need to get fixed first as that can cause power issues. for a cht gauge the best bang for the buck is the trailtech TTO gauge. You can get one of those for about $40 shipped. or if you want rpm,cht and mph the trailtech vapor. for $130 shipped thats hands down worth it.

That is an astute observation baka

will definately try it out it cant hurt. it could be that the kymco pipe is made to perform at a lower band than the elite
--check the specs and the kymco zx had slightly more HP and about 1000 more rpm than the elite

What's the name of the app? Is it pretty reliable and accurate?
Ps, I think your battery is low.

since the compression is higher would this bore benefit from higher octane gas?

Yes

Once you switched from stock to aftermarket bore, you should have been running 91or higher octane fuel already. All the aftermarket kits for these engines are higher than 11to1 compression ratio. The instruction manual that comes with the malossi cast states no less than 95 octane fuel. The malossi cast and polini contessa is. The same class bore kit, sport street.

I thought this to be true but I wasnt completely sure have been reading A. Graham Bells 2 stroke all day. I havent even ran a whole gallon of gas yet since installation was wating till i empty my gallon of premix before going up on the octane despite my better judgement i dont want to waste a gallon that i cant use in anything else

After reading the chapter on oil/fuel I got to thinking about the lucas oil I am using. It recommends to be premixed at no more than 50:1 and is already super thin which could be causing blowby which could be a reason why I am not getting as much performance as I should. I did notice the 43mm piston i took off was not only black on top but was black around the rings and right below them. I checked my local honda and they carry klotz super techniplate and castor 927 I cant decide which one to try but I gotta change oil for sure. I have heard a lot of good things about castor 927 but has anyone had any experience with the klotz super?
