if your going with klotz, get the r50 or benol. the benol is in the same boat as the maxima castor 927.

you guys make me feel good when you post your cheap bore kit setups, just installed a polini smokeless gun pipe=rare and will never rust, completely rebuildable, you can hear a v-8 pipe rust

Must be nice to live in your fantasy world maddog

I sorta feel like I need a rabies shot lol at any rate thanks Baka I checked out all of the klotz 2 cycle oils and I think I am going to try the Super techniplate, it is basically the r 50 with 20 percent BeNol added

I emptied all that crappy lucas premix and replaced with 93 octane and 32:1 klotz super. I probably shouldnt be trying to tune in the cold weather its like 50 degrees with 20mph wind gusts out of hte north. Had to change the 107 after a short run I pulled the plug and it wasnt even wet at all with a one or 2 tiny specks on the tip couldnt tell much so I put in the next and largest jet 118, one trip down the driveway it didnt bog down though still couldnt tell anything from the plug other than no specks. With the different oil and the temp I figured it would be a good idea to upjet since the other oil i had been using was soooo thin not going to do any WOT runs till it gets at least 60 outside, may take it for another short ride so I can get some color on the plug, down the driveway the mixture ring was still shiny metal

Plug is NOT suppose to be wet, or you are miles too rich.

Only if you're surrounded by saltwater.

Almost all good tuning guides suggest starting with a very rich main jet when dialing in a carburator I figure if my plug is wet the main is rich enough to misfire i can start working downward

Rich is dark brown to black. Wet means you are not burning all the fuel and fouling the plug and that is not good, ever.

Definately jetted rich at 48 pilot 118 main spark tip is a good chocolate but the mixture is a glazed black with some buildup accumulating. Really need to get one of those trail tech CHTs to fine tune it down. I am going to try the stock S derestricted pipe today to eliminate the zx pipe from the equation still getting 49mph on the gps with higher octane and klotz oil. Put the reed stops back in and it sorta smoothed out my low end. I think they werent closing all the way down low. One thing I am curious about the ruima vari I have, it being lighter than the prodigy does that mean I need to use slightly heavier weights in it or what?

The weight of the variator itself has nothing to do with the roller weights and how they function.

I am about sick of even messing with this thing hahha I tried using the stock exhaust today and ever since i cant get it to idle without the air/fuel all the way in no matter what size pilot I have. Either my carb is messed up somehow or i have a vacuum leak somewhere on the intake. I even took the contesta off and put my previous bore on to see what it would do...same thing wont idle without the screw all the way in
