I ride a 1984 spree, which has been running great until I started riding it in the cold. The last time I rode it, the throttle froze wide open, and I couldn't slow the moped down. Put the spree inside to thaw, now, it starts fine, and runs at an Idle. But when I try and twist the throttle, the throttle twists freely, no resistance, and the bike stays at idle. I'm guess the cable broke, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?

unscrew the carb cap and twist the throttle cable.
does anything happen?
if not,
you need a new throttle cable.
the carb cap is the little thing that the throttle cable goes down into.
should be pretty to get off.
okay stay safe

Bad/sticky throttle cables = crash waiting to happen.
