What, the inline fuel filter?

What, the inline fuel filter?

Here's what I see:

• It's got a manual petcock downstream of the OEM vacuum petcock
• There is a 'T' in the feed to the carb with a line with a 2nd petcock to the oil tank - Scoot's been converted to pre-mix..
• I think it wise the oil tank sensor wires are disconnected. Switch contacts are above the float level and are not arc-proof
• Picture date says '2007' and it was a sunny 11th of January.

Dont mind the date haha, I converted the oil tank to a reserve gas tank. Help A LOT

If you are running with plastics on - what did you do to get access to the petcocks?

Good workmanship, Here's one idea:

Slotted driver dowel - in metal, plastic, wood - whatever. Triangular slot cut into petcock knob. Triangular key mounted into driver to center. Could use a spring roll pin or put a knob on over the shaft for the external drive side.

Or just cut a hole in the plastic big enough of the valve knob to stick thru and tie strap the nipples to the plastic to hold it there. Of course lengthening the hosed to reach properly. Like I did for the ball valve for my manual bystarter on my Aero 80.

I never thought of that. How high do you think my * will fly up if I ever let the fuel level in the SR oil tank turn on that "Low Oil" lamp?

With you * on fire, you won't really give a d*** how high you get!

Why do you need access to those petcocks?

Aren't they just there for when you work on the carb.

BTW you missed a zip tie on the T .

Anytime you shut the scooter off and walk away for any length of time you should shut off the fuel. That's what the auto petcock does. Otherwise it can be dangerous.

you might wake up the next day with a motor full of gas, it will continue to push gas thru the float needle and flood the motor.

I had the same tight fit and the same thought. Funny how it came apart anyway, leaving me stranded in a pool of gasoline while on the way to the Dentist's. Put a clamp on there anyway, if you axt me... Hot-cold-Hot-cold wiggle-jiggle and it comes apart eventually.

Now that you mention it, my Low Oil light did come on that day, without a Scootery Conflagration. I guess I cheated death that day.
