I copied this from sip-scootershop to reveal the specs as advertised on their site for Malossi Cyl. kit #31-7200 for anyone interested. I suppose you could also go to red eft performance and ask Keith if he has any info as he sells these kits at a great price! Not one word has been changed from this "copy".

Why dont you read the little yellow paper that comes with the fkn bore it tells you right on there that it makes peak power at 8k dont believe what some salesman tries to tell you. Thats what the manufacturer themselves rate the bore at! They are advertising the rpms for the d*** mhr on there not the cast iron.

Straight from the technicians at Malossi
cast bore 31-7200 8500-9500rpm
MHR 31-8475 9500-10500rpm
Keep in mind these numbers are for ideal peak power. These bores can and will turn a little more pending on setup.
Also keep in mind your probably not going to get peak power at these points with a less than ideal setup.
Contrary to what most believe on this forum the pipe options for the af16 are crap. Unless you want to shell out some money for something exotic.

That ends this discussion now we can move on. Heard it from the man himself. The cast iron simply cant rev up to what you guys are claiming. Unless you have baka or tru72 do your block ports and agressive jug porting. They are the only two i know with high end dental tools and diamond bits with 90 degree angles

The purpose of the street bore is a long lifespan. You get half the life span on the mhr because of the high revs. You dont need 10k for a dd hes not trying to go 70 all time

And a pg short putting a cast iron up to over 10k is unheard of

Not surprised your able to keep low temps with the aluminum bore its a cooler running bore than the cast irons. 350 is good temps still but once it starts climbing past that then i wouldnt push it. 325 is considered running cool. Whats your WOT temps for a long pull
